Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at the Willie L. Shaw Jr. Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Pollock Cemetery, Scotts Hill Community.  Visitation is from 5:30-8:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.  James Horace Greene was born on May 5, 1956, to the late Horace and Pearline Greene.  On July 9, 2023, God sent an Angel to bring him home.  James accepted Christ into his life in February 2023 and joined Moores Creek Baptist Church in Currie, NC.  James transition in death with his son Toma Tarrant and 4 sisters: Sandra Greene, Delilah Ann Greene, Rita Williams, and Diana Williams.  James leaves to cherish his memory his wife Sara Ann Murphy Greene and 3 stepdaughters Nicole and Niquitta Corbette, Nechell (Rick) Kellam of Currie, NC. 8 sisters Marvel Deaver, Sheila (Darron) Kennedy, Yvette Brown, Vernell Robinson, Elaine (John) McIntyre, Denise Curry all of Wilmington NC, Barbara (Jim) Slate of Greenbelt, MD and Geraldine Green of Jamaica Queens NY, one brother Andre Greene of Wilmington NC, 3 sisters-in-laws, 1 brother-in-law, a special mother-in-law, 17 nieces and nephews, 37 great nieces and nephews, 2 aunts Cora Morgan and Anna Ragin, 2 uncles, Irving Greene and Harold Greene, 2 special cousins, Reginal and Darryl Brown, 2 special nephews Derrick and Charles Greene, and a host of cousins and friends.
