Graveside service will be 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Pine Forest Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 6:30 - 8:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home.

James Christopher Quindale Bunting, Sr., was born on December 20, 1972, in Wilmington, N.C., to James E. Bunting and Patricia G. Ducan Bunting.  On January 1, 2026, God called him to his eternal rest. The family relocated to New Haven, CT, when he was 1 year old.  He was raised in New Haven, CT, until the family relocated back to Leland, NC.  He was thirteen at the time of the move. He was an athlete in both middle school and high school.  He ran track and played basketball for both middle and high school.  He gave his life to Christ in 2006.  He worked for five different moving companies as a mover. His last job as a mover was for Peak Moving and Storage Company.  He was loved very dearly by his coworkers.  He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Ruth Vann and Lois Hardy, and by his grandfather, Selvester Johnson.
