Funeral service will be 3:00 P.M. Friday July 12, 2024, at St. Andrew AME Zion Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is 6:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.
On Thursday, July 4, 2024, our Lord and Savior granted his eternal peace and rest to our dearly beloved James O. Bragg, Jr. James was born on August 3, 1982, to Willie Jean Bragg and the late James O. Bragg, Sr. in Wilmington, North Carolina. James was raised in the Jervay and Creekwood Communities. He was educated in the New Hanover County School System. At the time of his death, he was employed by Deans Masonry. James was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He had a love for sports, watching and solving crime tv shows and entertaining his family and friends. He loved and admired Lebron James. When his health began to unexpectedly fall, he never complained or stopped smiling. When you were blessed with James' presence, you were always assured to be left with a smile on your face, with pleasant thoughts. He was a loving and outgoing person who had a deep passion for his immediate and extended family. In addition to his father, James was also preceded in death by his daughter, Zy'Angel Bragg and his aunts, Mary Scott and Dorothy Washington. Memories of James will forever live in the hearts of: his daughter, Shamirra Bragg; his sons, Shamirr Bragg, James Bragg, III, James Bragg IV, James Bragg,V; his beautiful granddaughter, Zalaya Bragg; his mother, Willie Jean Bragg; his sisters, Tavarie Smith (Joseph) and Angrid Wilson-Durant (D'Angelo); brother, Carlton Woodberry; loving soulmate, Kendra Hansley; a special friend, Angela Joye; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends,
