Funeral service will be held 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at John H. Shaw's Son Funeral Home.  Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service on Sunday.  James Edward Boyd, 68 of Wilmington, NC departed this life on September 19, 2023.  He was born December 6, 1954, to the late Fluarie and Freddie Boyd in Wilmington, NC.  James Edward received his formal education with New Hanover County Schools.  He is known for his love of the Northside Community and very big sense of humor.  He was preceded in death by his mother Fluarie Boyd, father Freddie Boyd; three brothers Harold Boyd Sr. (Edith), Fred Willis "Bo-Peep" Boyd, Eddie Jo Boyd; two sisters Daisy Boyd, Carrie Hill (Larry).  He leaves to cherish his memory daughter Latonia "Toni" Cuttino of Hopewell Virginia, and sister Lila Mae Boyd of Wilmington, NC; five aunts and two uncles. Special nieces and nephew Angela Boyd Keaton (Randolph) of Riegelwood, NC, Felicia Swift of Columbia Harold Boyd Jr. of Wilmington NC. Special friends Gause, Douglas Boykins, Tim Regins, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
