On January 10, 2026, at 8:22 a.m., God called James Berry to his eternal and permanent home in His kingdom. James Berry was born on June 27, 1951. He lived a simple but meaningful life, marked by love, kindness, and genuine connection. James never met a stranger; he loved people deeply and cherished his family. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, no matter the circumstance, and his generosity of spirit touched many. James endured years of dialysis, yet it never stopped him from living a long, strong, and faithful life, until a few weeks ago. His resilience and quiet strength were a testament to his character and faith. James was preceded in death by his parents, Beaulah and Richard Rivers; his sisters, Louise Washington and Hattie Mae Blue; and his brother, Will Berry. He leaves to cherish his memory two loving siblings, Margaret McBride and Thomasena Pellom: a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends, and a special friend, Marion. James Berry will be remembered for his warm heart, humble spirit, and love for others. His memory lives on in all who were blessed to know him.
