December 21, 1952, in Walterboro, South Carolina, Ms. Henrietta Frasier was born to the late Gladys Frasier Carter (Willie Cater). Alongside her parents and siblings, Henrietta relocated to the Northside of Wilmington, North Carolina during the early years of her life. It was in Wilmington where she was raised and worked to earn her high school diploma from New Hanover High School (1971). Passionate about education, Henrietta progressed to college to earn a bachelor's degree in History Education from Winston Salem State University (1976) and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Administrative Office Technology from Cape Fear Community College (1995). Family was a center point of Henrietta's life. Henrietta treasured a host of nieces, nephews, siblings, and her son, Brian (2016). As a byproduct of holding family close, it was no secret Henrietta enjoyed good food and a reason to spend time around love from her family. She was always the go-to person for a taste test and was dubbed as the food connoisseur of the family. With a shared love of God, Henrietta and her sister, Edith (2022), cemented a strong and unwavering bond that surpassed being blood. Henrietta and Edith enjoyed each other's company throughout the years, rooted trust in each other, shared family values fluidly, and maintained a sisterly bond that family is sure transcended earth to be heavenly honored and reunited. Through the course of her life, Henrietta grew to love and cherish so many things that casually painted and characterized her to be the woman that her family knew and loved. She developed a deep admiration of Harlequin Romance novels; so much so that she could finish an entire novel in a single day. Henrietta loved to read, and it was evident by her library growing to consist of hundreds of books. Henrietta proved to be a devoted employee. She maintained the role of being a Driver Supervisor for New Hanover County Schools for more than 20 years that resulted in her retirement in 2013. Henrietta was also an enthusiastic Carolina Panthers fan. Bonding over the Panthers cradled a robust connection between Henrietta and Brian. Not a game, a winning outcome, or a stat update would get past them—they were just that loyal of supporters. She was preceded in death by her son, Brian Frasier, sister, Edith Boyd and brother-in-law, Harold Boyd Sr. Henrietta Frasier's memory will be cherished for years to come. She was survived by her sisters, Cornelia Walton and Willie Mae Long; nieces and nephews, Angela Boyd Keaton (Randolph), Harold Boyd Jr., Cathleena Fonville (Richie), Sabrina Canty (Jessie), and Clayton Long Jr.; in-laws, Lila Boyd, James Edward Boyd, and Clayton Long Sr.; special grand nieces and nephews, Monee' Boyd, Antonio Boyd (Ahzha), Harold Boyd Ill and Precious Canty; a host of other relatives and friends.
