Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 10, 2026, at John H. Shaw's Son funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday morning. (10:00 A.M.)

Hattie Walker Lee was born on October 25th 1936, as the second oldest of seven children born to the late Ernest Walker Sr. and the late Sarah Wade Walker in Wilmington, North Carolina. Hattie gained her wings on Thursday, March 26th, 2026. Hattie was raised in Wilmington, North Carolina with her sisters and brother. She attended Williston Senior High School. In 1952, Hattie was joined in marriage to the late William Edward Lee, and three daughters were born from this union: Frances Lee, Virgie Lee, and Catherine Lee. Several years after her divorce, Hattie would later welcome a son Anthony Lee with the late Jimmy Myers. In June 1965, Hattie and her children moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she obtained her GED and worked at a local bank. While living in Philadelphia, Hattie worked at Keebler Cookie Company for many years. Upon her return to North Carolina, she was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant and continued caring for others until her health no longer permitted her to do so. Hattie was also a member of Myrtle Grove First Born Holiness Church for many years. Hattie was preceded in death by parents Ernest Walker Sr. and Sarah Wade Walker, her oldest sister Sadie Walker; two of her younger sisters Margaret "Maudie" Walker Smith and Peggy Walker Tyler; three brothers-in-law Jerry Smith, John Conyers, and Robert Wesley; sister-in-law Frances Walker, and one son-in-law Andrew Wheeler. Hattie leaves to cherish her loving memory: two   sisters Louise Walker Wesley and Marion "Mern" Walker Conyers; one brother Ernest "Buddy" Walker Jr.; three daughters Frances Lee Emanuel, Virgie Diane Lee, and Catherine Lee Wheeler; one son Anthony M. Lee (Taju Burden); five grandchildren: Stacey Emanuel, Stephanie Lee, Shamir Lee, Anthony Jaiden Lee, and Amira Jaeoni Lee; five great grandchildren Seth Lee, Sean Lee, Destiny Lee, Sierra Crumpler, and Ryan Serena Sumner; brother-in-law Roger Tyler; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
