Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, New Centre Drive.  Visitation is from 5:30-8:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.

George Winston Pierre Kirby, III was born September 23, 1965, to George Kirby, Jr. and Marguerite Walker Kirby.  He departed this life on March 14, 2022.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Marguerite Walker Kirby, father George Kirby, Jr., grandchildren, De'quan M. Anderson and Christina B. Kirby.  George attended New Hanover High School and graduated in the Class of 1984.  He attended N.C. State University.  George matriculated at Cape Fear Community College where he graduated with honors and a 4.0 GPA.  George was loved dearly by his family and all who knew him.  He always tried to help whenever it was needed.  George devoted his life to business creation and jobs development.  He was considered a great mentor and devoted his time to the development of young people.  George leaves to cherish his memory his children; Quinetta (Brian) Johnson, Brandon (Marielle) Kirby, Montrel Jones, Amanda Bownden, and Shakiera Kirby.  His loving brothers; Marcus (Andrea) Kirby and Keeshan Harley.  His beautiful sister Le'Shawna (Corey) Brunson-Smith.  He also leaves nine grandsons, Devonte Anderson, Micah Kirby, Gabriel Mitchel, Ayeden Kirby, Montrel Jones, Jr., Major Jones, Zyon Jones, Zaiden Jones and Christopher Bowden.  His two granddaughters, Joy Jones and Jaselyn Bellamy.  Three aunts, Dorothy Green, Elaine Hankins and Ethel Robinson.  A host of cousins and friends.
