Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 5, 2022, at the Willie L. Shaw Jr. Memorial Chapel. Burial in Pine Forest Cemetery.  Visitation is from 5:30-8:00 P.M. on Thursday.

Genowell Ca'Quan Mckoy was born on March 7, 1978, in Wilmington, North Carolina, to Henry Lee and Cynthia Mckoy.  He departed this life on July 25, 2022.  Genowell completed Job Core and attended Cape Fear Community College, where he obtained a Certificate in Welding.  He expressed his creativity through his amazing artwork.  He was a loving son, brother, and uncle.  Genowell, also known as Nile, River, Tendo, Unk, and Five.  He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend.  Genowell was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Frances Jenkins, and paternal grandparents, Henry Lee Mckoy Sir and Thelma Mckoy and nephews Ty'Quan Hall-Conyers and Zhaki Mckoy.   He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother and father Cynthia and Henry Lee Mckoy.  His siblings; Lakesha Conyers, Marvin Mckoy, Antwion Mckoy, Anitria Mckoy, and Kanesia Mckoy.  His nieces and nephews; Chad Hall-Conyers, TyWain Hall-Conyers, Precious Mckoy Washington, Anasha Mckoy, Darion Mckoy, Keosha Conyers, Kyera Mckoy, Tyshawn Mckoy, Keyona Conyers, Demond Conyers, Aniya Mckoy, Alaiah Mckoy, Demont Conyers, Zinauria Mckoy, Zanajha McKoy, Zaidya Mckoy, Makayla Mckoy, Malaysia Mckoy, Zuri Mckoy, Zahmad Mckoy and Amari Mckoy.  His great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends; Desmond, Ron, and Mike Sweat. We will remember his smile, his sense of humor, his awful dancing and incredible art talent.
