Ernest Fennell, the son of the late Henry Fennell, Sr, and Sarah Gertrude McCrae Fennell, was born October 27, 1949, in Wilmington NC.  He departed his life on Friday, July 29, 2022, at Novant Health Hospital.  Ernest attended Williston Senior High School.  He was a hard-working handyman, and did various jobs including brick mason, painting, yard work, etc., he helped anyone he could.  Ernest aka (Uncle Stank) was a loving brother, uncle, and a good friend.  He was proceeded in death by this father, Henry Fennell, his mother Sarah Gertrude McCrae Fennell, his two brothers; Henry Fennell aka (Tune) and Willie Fennell aka (Boodie), and his sisters; Alethia Mitchell aka (Susie Q), and Gloria Lowe.  He leaves to cherish his memories, his two other sisters: Ruth Grady, and Agnes Fennell, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a special friend Roxanne Nixon.
