Elizabeth Kelly Paige, daughter of the late and John Talmadge Kelly and Josephine Troy Kelly of Leland, North Carolina, was born January 9, 1947.  She departed this earthly life on February 14, 2024. Elizabeth was educated in the Brunswick County School System, graduating from Lincoln High School.  She furthered her education at Winston-Salem State University in Winston Salem, North Carolina obtaining a BS degree; studied graduate work at Morgan State in Maryland,  and attended Towson University, Loyola University and John Hopkins all in Maryland. Her 37 years in education included being a Middle School Science Teacher and Acting Department Head Resource Teacher in Baltimore, Maryland.  She loved her job until the pressure took a toll on her emotional well-being. Elizabeth was married to John Marvin Paige, and they divorced in 2001.  She enjoyed playing tennis and fishing.  Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her family and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, George Talmadge Kelly, Mary Kelly Richardson (Samuel), John Kelly, Jr. (Thelma), Helen Joan Kelly Johnson, Solomon Don Kelly, and Glenda Gale Kelly; her loving friend, William "Big Train" Lee and special friend, Shirley Ray. She leaves to cherish fond memories: two special nieces, Paula Drummond and L'Tanya (Clifton) Royall and a friend Brenda Gilliam who all made frequent checks on her and Lee as the years passed; two godchildren, Keli Ray and Dennis Lee Burton; the extended family of the longtime love of her life, William "Big Train" Lee who never gave up on her even in her darkest hours; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
