Eliesher McCormick, born on March 16, 1959, to the late John and Elease McCormick of Wilmington, North Carolina, departed this earthly life on July 1, 2024. Known affectionately as "Lisha", care and concern for her family was her priority in life, and she loved them immensely. She had a profound love for all people. Lisha had a big heart and was a selfless individual who loved people deeply. She was caring, helpful, and always ready to lend a hand. Despite her kindness, she was never afraid to tell it like it is, offering her honest opinion when it was needed most. She was employed as a Longshoreman at ILA Local #1426 for over 25 years. She leaves to cherish her memory: her two children, Felicia McCormick (Steve) of Greensboro, NC, and Jarra Frost of Wilmington, NC; her three beloved grandchildren, Jarron, Steve, and Kadence, who were the light of her life and brought her immense joy; her siblings: two sisters, Sandra Jones and Carol "Lainey" McCormick, and two brothers, "Johnny MO" and Carlton McCormick. Her legacy extends to a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Her presence is already missed. The love she shared with others, her kind and giving heart, and her unwavering support touched many lives. 50 Years of Friendship! Words cannot describe the pain we feel saying farewell to you. But heaven chose to give you wings and now it's time you flew. Our chests ache, dear friend, as our hearts are broken into pieces. The bond we shared was strong over 50 years long. We may not share a last name or blood, but that does not matter to us. But growing up in each other's houses like sisters was good enough. Farewell our dear friend, we love you, Valda Jenkins, Millie Cuttino, Debra Gray, Carylon Simmons, Anita McKeehan and Linda Boney.
