On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, Elaine McIntyre entered eternal rest, with our heavenly father at the age of 68. Elaine was born on November 7, 1955 in Wilmington, NC to Ethel Brown and Horace Greene. She was raised in Wilmington, North Carolina and graduated from New Hanover High School in 1974. She worked at Cornelia Nixon Davis Nursing Home as a Dietary Aide for 42 years and retired on May 1, 2022 to enjoy being with her family and friends. She was a very wise, supportive, and extremely honest person who loved shopping, scratch-offs, and watching Family Feud and Wheel of Fortune. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents Ethel Brown and Horace Greene, her sisters Sandra Greene and Diane Williams and her brothers Wilbert "Bug" Brown and James Horace Greene. Elaine was a very loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband of 45 years, John Otis McIntyre of Wilmington, NC; daughters Charese McIntyre and Shana McIntyre all of Wilmington, NC; grandson Savion McIntyre of Wilmington, NC; her sisters Vernell Lloyd-Robinson of Wilmington, NC, Denise Curry of Greenville, SC, Barbara (Jim) Slade of Greenbelt, MD, Geraldine Greene of Jamaica Queens, NY; her aunt Doretha McIntyre of Brooklyn, NY; Special cousins Angie Brown of Wilmington, NC and Leo Brown of Martinsville, VA; her special friends Debra "Meme" Spicer of Wilmington, NC, Carrie Simpson of Greensboro, NC, Martha Brown of Wilmington, NC, Dorcus "DeeDee" Hankins of Charlotte, NC and Trevion Spicer of Wilmington, NC, and a host of loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
