Funeral service will be held 1:30 P.M. on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Mt. Olive AME Church.  Visitation is from 5:30 to 8:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Eddie Elancy Keels Foster, son of the late Mildred Keels Moore and Eddie Lee Foster was born on August 3, 1952, in Wilmington, North Carolina. Eddie grew up in the city loving music and singing gospel.  He sang gospel songs in all the churches around the city.  Eddie also enjoyed fishing with his family and friends.  He loved food and family gatherings, but most of all he loved his family. His love will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he touched. On February 23, 2024, at Life Care Hospice, Eddie, better known as "Dodda Bug" lost his battle with cancer.  He fought hard and won his reward.  He will be loved and missed. Eddie leaves to cherish his memories: two sisters, Elaine Smith of Winnabow, NC and Harriett Barrett of Wilmington, NC; two nieces, Camish Martin (Godfrey) of Wilmington, NC and Cheryl Martin of Winnabow, NC; one nephew, Curtis Martin (Tameeka) of Greensboro, NC; great-nieces, Sherrell Martin of Greensboro, NC, Valentine Scott (Jason) of Virginia, Dutchess Cox of Fayetteville, NC, Shadaiy Hruska (Gab) of Greensboro, NC, Chenzel Martin of Winston Salem, NC and Abrial Nixon of Greensboro, NC; great-nephews, Stephen Maloney of Winnabow, NC, Curtis Martin, Jr. of Carlotte, NC, Lazerick Martin of Florida, Mason Martin of Greensboro, NC, Day'on Martin of Fayetteville, NC. Kay'on Martin of Alaska and Kermont Garrett of Georgia; a host of great-great-nieces,  great-great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
