Ebony Kimyatta Boles, born on July 1, 1971, in Wilmington, NC, entered eternal rest on December 12, 2025. Birdy, as she was affectionately known, was educated in the New Hanover County School System, graduating from New Hanover High School in the Class of 1989. She later attended Cape Fear Community College where she earned her associate's degree in culinary arts. She was previously employed with McDonalds of Leland, NC, where she found joy in connecting with people and cooking for her family, she never met a stranger. Birdy was a people person, always willing to help anyone in need. Birdy was a very friendly person who developed a lot of relationships. She rarely went anywhere that someone did not know her. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She has truly left a void in our family and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Levern Boles (Gilbert), and Alfonza McIntyre, and grandparents, Louis and Pearl McIntyre and Hattie Moore McIntyre and Arnold. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: daughter Pearl Boles of the home; sisters Stacy Boles and Barbara H. Hooper (Thomas) both of Wilmington, NC, Willetta McIntyre of Fayetteville, NC, brothers, Darius Leonard of Jacksonville, NC, Derrick McIntyre of Fayetteville, NC, and Chris McIntyre of Fayetteville, NC; step mother Willie-Mae McIntyre of Fayetteville, NC; nieces and nephews; Adara Mack, Te'ara Harrison, Marquis Harrison, Jayden Johnson, Mariya McIntyre, Alexis Jones, Kaiden Harrison, Brycen Harrison, Zay'd White, aunts and uncles; Barbara Ann Stephens, Bernard McIntyre, Bernice M. Brinson, Zelphia Brinson (Louis), Janice Brown (John), Ronney McIntyre (Cynthia), Clara Lowery, and Geraldine Schultze, special friends, Denise Wannamaker, Lekiesha Hankins and Sabrina Hill Black, and a host of other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other family and many special friends that are too numerous to name.
