Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at St. Andrew AME Zion Church.  Burial will follow in Calvary Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation is from 5:30-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Early on Tuesday morning, March 26, 2024, our Heavenly Father dispatched His angels to bring our beloved Diane Roundtree Moore into her heavenly rest.  She was born July 18, 1954.  She is preceded in death by her parents, James, and Louise McNeil, her husband, Wagus Moore, Jr. and her siblings; Ervin, James Jr., Ellis, Brenda, Mary Louise, and nephew Antonio McNeil.  Diane was educated in New Hanover County Schools.  She was employed by New Hanover County for over 20 years before leaving due to declining health concerns.  Diane gave her life to Christ at an early age.  She was a faithful member of St. Andrews AMEZ Church.  She had an opportunity to co-chair the Eighty-Sixth Annual Homecoming Celebration, which proved to be a resounding success both spiritually and financially. Having grown up in St. Andrews Church, she served on the Usher Board and various other committees with a willing and generous spirit.  Diane looked forward to many visits over the years from the pastors and members of St. Andrews as her health and eyesight continued to decline.  Diane possessed a kind and generous heart.  She never hesitated to assist when needed.  She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family.  Those who knew her well knew she was outspoken.  She was a strong and a determined woman who had a deep love for the Lord with an unwavering faith that He never fails.  She is loved and she will be missed.
