Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 24, 2025, at God's Royal Family Church of God; 302 Southern Boulevard.  Visitation is from 5:30-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the funeral home.

Delores Goodwin Turner, daughter of the late Clara Everett and Alford Goodwin, Sr. was born December 24, 1941. She departed this earthly life on October 16, 2025.  Affectionately called "Lois", Delores was an excellent caregiver, working in nursing homes.  She loved the Lord and was a singing and praying woman.  Delores loved her family and enjoyed helping people.  Delores was a very loving and kind person.  She always kept a smile and would offer words of encouragement. Delores, the heart and glue of the family will be greatly missed.  In addition to her parents, "Lois" was preceded in death by: her daughter, Lorrie Ann Darby; granddaughter, Lanika Ortega; grandson, Cleveland Mitchell; her brothers, Alford Goodwin, Jr. (twin), James Willie Bethea, and Edward Bethea; and sister, Sadine Everette Cypress.  She leaves to cherish fond memories:  her children, Ray Pearce (Talmadge "Jimmy"), Leon Wheeler, Regina Wheeler, Rodriques Wheeler and Benson Kornegay; grandchildren, Michael Goodwin, Melvin Goodwin, Ebony Goodwin, Michael Davis, Jernay Mitchel (Marquis Wright), Lakita Mitchell (Cherelle), James Wheeler (TaKesha), Marquita Butler (Michael), Jonathan Kenion, Laquita Kenion, Joshua Wheeler, Charlene Wheeler, and Charlette Draper (Larry); 42 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
