He was a man of God that always shared a good word or gesture for everyone. His kindness, compassion and goodwill are what made him a light in his church, Sunday School, and his community. He loved his family deeply as he shared a very special bond with his siblings, his love for God, church, and family. Deacon Malone will forever inspire as we keep him in our hearts and memories. Harrison Malone was born December 2, 1949, to the late Aria and Isabella Malone in Navassa, NC. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior as a young man then a member of Mt. Calvary African Methodist Episcopal Church. Shortly after, he graced his way to Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Wilmington. He was the first Deacon and maintained his membership as a noble Deacon and driver for the members until his passing. He was a part of the men's choir, a faithful member of Sunday School, as he loved to sing the gospel. Harrison was married to Mary Wright where this union produced two children Harrison II, (Nadine) of Salisbury, NC, and Tomeka (Aaron) of Marietta, Ga. He later met and married Patricia Mitchell where this union brought a daughter Chapelle into the world. He was a proud husband, father and protector to his family and wife Patricia until his transition.
