Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Shaw Funeral Home.  Visitation is from 12:00 Noon until 12:45 P.M. prior to the service.

Cynthia Diane McDonald Williamson spent most of her lifespan career caring for children and others.  She departed her life on November 23, 2024.  Cynthia was born in Washington, DC, on May 6, 1958, to the late Hardy and Doris McDonald.  She was the 7th of 10 children.  Cynthia was educated in the public school system in Arlington, Va.  She later met her best friend/soul mate Darryle W. Williamson, and they later moved to Wilmington, NC.  Cynthia is proceeded in death by her late husband Darryle W. Williamson, her mother and father, as well as her sisters; Joann McDonald and Jewel (John Bratcher).  She is survived by her two daughters; Tanisha Smith and Eureka McDonald; one son Perry (Natasha Smith); three sisters; four brothers; fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
