Funeral Service will be Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Freedom Way Ministries. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at the funeral home at 5:30 p.m.
Cynthia Ann Donaldson, "Ann", as she was affectionately known and loved, departed this life on April 16, 2025. She was born on January 27, 1958, to the late Jonnie Parker and Annie Ruth Parker. Cynthia was educated in the New Hanover County School System. She worked for 18 years in the New Hanover County School System until she retired. Our mother had an extreme love for nature and anything that grew. She had the greenest thumb ever. Ann never met a stranger. She had the sweetest, infectious smile, a giving heart and an intense love for home and family. A true Queen – PD In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband, Cornelious Donaldson, who she referred to as her "Honey, Honey"; her grandmother, Lovie Hyman; two brothers, Michael Parker and Fredrick Parker; one sister, Sharon Parker; one niece, Pernisha Parker, and one great-niece. She leaves to cherish fond memories: one son, Christopher Parker; two daughters, LaTanya Parker and Nakisha Bowen; her dog, Cyrus; nine grandchildren, Shakelah, Amanda, Jarig, John, Jacob, Bryan (Tiane), Gabriel, Alora and Joel; four great-grandchildren, Lakiya, Nadya, Zanylah and Tahj; one brother, Ronald Parker (Tiffany); nine nieces and nephews, a host of cousins, distant families and friends, including two longtime friends, Angela Armstrong and Antoinette Smith.
