A memorial service will be 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at John H. Shaw's Son Funeral Home.

Crystal Iona Jones, known affectionately at "Tink", was born to Ester C. Jones and Christopher Jeffery, in Wilmington, NC on February 11, 1989.  In the early hours of December 12, 2023, God quietly and peacefully called Crystal to depart this world and join Him in her heavenly home.  Crystal graduated from Eugene Ashley High School in 2008.  She continued her studies at Cape Fear Community College and followed in her mother's footsteps into the field of medicine.  Crystal's big heart, love for people and desire to help those in need made her a natural in her chosen career path.  Crystal was a devoted daughter, granddaughter, "Auntie", cousin and friend.  She had a "bigger than life" personality, a take-charge attitude, and a smile that could light up the darkest of rooms.  Even in the midst of troubled times and personal struggles, Crystal made an effort to lift up those around her.  Crystal was preceded in death by her mother, Esther C. Jones; father, Christopher Jeffrey; maternal grandfather, Mr. Arthur "Son" Jones; paternal grandparents, Bernard and Gladys Jeffrey.  Crystal is survived by her beloved grandmother, Mrs. Carrie Mae Jones; aunty Geneise Horton (Larry) and Renee Kelly; uncle Tyrone Jeffrey; great aunts Ms. Annie Perry and Dr. Rosa Lee Trapp-Dail; great uncles, Henry and Richard (Shirley) McNeil; 1st cousins, Ashley Jones Jordan (Jerrell), Kempus Kelly and Desha Bonner; bonus aunt Donita Gaines (Albert); bonus uncle Singletary; special cousins Jelesa Jones, Britanie and LaToya Bryant; host of other relatives and very special cousins and friends (you know who you are).
