Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 27, 2022, at the Willie L. Shaw Jr. Memorial Chapel.  Visitation is from 6-8:00 P.M. on Thursday.

Clarence was born on December 3, 1954, to the late Amos and Helen Hamby.  On May 20, 1922, the Lord called Clarence home.  Clarence also known as "Jiddy Bug" attended New Hanover County school system.  Clarence was very hard working.  He was a former employee of Corbett's Packing Company.  He later worked and retired from Party Suppliers, where he gained his extended family.  As a hard-working man, he worked at Roses and K&W until he later transitioned in life.  Clarence is survived by his lovely wife Alice Jenkins; daughters; Lanetta Jenkins, Lashata Lawson (Joe), Jacqueline Williams Rhames, Mary Harrington, and Dorothy Harrington.  Two sisters; Dorothy Mathis (Hartford, Connecticut) and Mary Hamby (Wilmington, NC) and one deceased brother Clifford (Bo Pete) Hamby, two aunts; Juanita Jenkins (Cusseta, GA) and Marie Johnson (Columbus, GA).  Two sisters-in-laws; Trisha Ann Black, and Pam Williams.  Grandchildren; Mohogany Smith, Monique Smith, and Trequan Jenkins, and a host of bonus grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
