Christine Williams affectionately known as “Chris” lived in Manchester, CT, gained her wings on August 29th, 2026. Chris was one of 18 children born to the late Governor Williams and Mary Dailey-Williams on May 9, 1946, in Winnabow, NC. She was preceded in death by both parents, a brother, Joseph Williams, sisters: Evelyn and Alberta Williams, sister and best friend, Queen Elizabeth Jones, and grandson, Antwaun Tyrell Ford.Chris attended schools in North Carolina before moving to Hartford, CT. She worked at Pratt & Whitney for over 20 plus years before retiring. She was the kind of person who made everyone around her feel safe and valued. Her loving nature wasn't loud or demanding; it was felt in the quiet, consistent ways she showed up for the people she cared about. With a deeply caring heart, she noticed the small things-a tired look, a heavy sigh-and always knew exactly how to offer comfort. Her kindness was her defining trait, a gentle energy she extended to family, friends, and strangers alike, leaving the world a little softer than she found it. Chris was a very loving, kind, and caring person. She leaves to cherish her memory 3 daughters: Victoria Pina of Ohio, Yvette Thorpe of Manchester, CT, and Cynthia Ford of Hartford, CT. 8 Grandchildren: Tamika, Mahlik, JP, Destiny, Joseph, Tianna, Ashira, and Gherond; 4 Great Grandchildren: Lyniya, Johnas, Paris, and Johsan. (She was known as their “GiGi”). And a “special son she never had” Harvey Davis. Siblings: Lee Williams of (Hartford, CT), Virginia Davis of (Richmond, VA), Beulah Carr of (Wilmington, NC), Fran Jones (James) of Leland, NC, Harry Williams of (Hartford, CT), Eria Nesbitt (Linwood), Lonnie Williams, Bobby Williams (Doretha), Joyce Williams, Gloria Williams, Brenda Thomas all of (Wilmington, NC), Gladys Moore (Daniel) of Hampsted, NC, Darlene Wilson (James) of Wilmington, NC. A host of nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and a lifelong and cherished friend, Sandra Ralston and 2 bonus daughter's Sharond and Tia Graham.
