Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, Winnabow, NC.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation is from 5-7:00 P.M. on Friday at St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Cathelene "Cat" Gause Jenkins was born on August 15, 1965, to the late John Henry and Hazel Gause in Brunswick County, North Caroline. She departed this earthly life on January 11, 2025.  Cathelene accepted Christ at an early age at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.  She later became an active member of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church.  Upon her passing, she served faithfully as a deaconess, usher, and on the Food Pantry committee.  She graduated from West Brunswick High School in 1983.  Cathelene received her associate degree in Business Administration from Brunswick Community College.  She went on to work at Brunswick County School as a bus driver and special education teacher's assistant, for over 25 years.  Cathelene married the love of her life, Conell Jenkins "Shug", on March 25, 1994, and they had two children, Jasmine and Keyshawn Jenkins, of Winnabow, North Carolina.  Cathelene was "GiGi" to Londyn Jenkins and Joshua Jackson, Jr.Memories of Cathelene will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones.  Brother Richard Hill (Gwanda), Carl Gause, James Hill, Gergory Gause, and Eric Gause; sisters-in-law; Lawanda Granger, Marjorie Hansley, Bonita Jenkins, Danette Baggett; brothers-in-law, David Jenkins, Daniel Jenkins (Bridgette); aunts, Mabel Gause, Oneitha Jackson (Larry), and Evelyn Bullock, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
