Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon on Monday, July 18, 2022, at Warner Temple AME Zion Church.  Burial in Pine Forest Cemetery.  Visitation is from 5:30-8:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home. Carolyn Jean Thomas was born on December 19, 1956, in Wilmington, North Carolina to the late Beatrice Robinson and Frank Thomas.  On Tuesday evening, July 12, 2022, God sent his angels to escort Carolyn to her Heavenly home.  In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her son, Corey Thomas; grandson, Teshon Lane; two sisters, Deloris Parker and Marie Richardson and two brothers, Lorenzo Thomas and Davis Thomas. Carolyn was educated in the New Hanover County School System.  To know Carolyn was to love her.  She never met a stranger and was always an instant friend. She was an amazing cook and she loved to cook for her family and friends. Carolyn was an awesome mother and laughed at everything.  She was a good-hearted person and a very dear friend.  Carolyn leaves to cherish fond memories: her children, Monika Lane, Lakeisha Everett (Tommy) and Antonio Thomas; grandchildren, Tiera Lane, TaKira Thomas, Ty'Quan Lane, Shalisia Ross, Porche Givens, Tariq Lane, Treinisha Givens and Troy Given; sisters, Joanne Johnson and Patricia Thomas; a special niece, Tara Mack; other relatives and friends.
