Our little Christmas "Carol" transitioned to become our "Angel" in Heaven on January 12, 2025.  Carol Inez Doughty was born on December 14, 1962, in Wilmington, North Carolina at the old Community Hospital to the late Minnie Ruth Doughty and the late Joe Jenkins.  Carol was a very unique and special kind of person.  Everyone in her circle loved her enthusiasm for life and her personal rapport she had individually with us.  She was educated in the New Hanover County School System and attended Warner Temple AME Zion Church. She was employed with National Linen until her health began to fail. Carol's beautiful smile and laugh was contagious and always gave whoever was blessed to be in her company a real spark of the genuine love she gave. We will always love and cherish every moment of our Christmas "Carol". Carol "Rosie", we love you and never will we ever forget you. Your love is imprinted on our hearts and memories forever.  Carol leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Felix Montiea Clay, Jr.; two daughters, Hope Ecstasia Doughty and Tiaina Rene Doughty; granddaughters, Tamaya Asia Clay, Harmony Love Faith George, and Serenity Marie George; grandson, Montiea Amani Clay; her siblings, Barbara D. Graham, Patricia Doughty, Thomas Doughty (Tonya), Roderick Doughty (Jacqueline), Gloria Doughty and Cassandra Doughty; an adopted brother, Omega Blue; a very dear aunt, Jean D. Wright; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Surely but not far from the least, we would like to shine a light on her friend for life and her daughter's father, Carl Bowen for his unwavering support and love throughout Carol's whole life's journey.  We Thank God for the life of Carol Doughty and will always remember her with that infectious laugh and beautiful smile.  Fly high our "Christmas Angel".
