Bryan Quintell Smith was born on June 2, 1969, in Wilmington, North Carolina to Doris Ann Farrior and the late Charlie Smith, Jr. He departed this earthly life on August 1, 2022. Quintell was educated in the New Hanover County Public School System and graduated from New Hanover High School in 1987. After graduation, he pursued his dream in music and signed with the group, Rock Hard Heavies, established under 2 Live Crew. He also formed his own label entitled 910 Records, where he signed local artists. Quintell also had a love for fixing things (electronics and mechanics), which inspired his career with the Wilmington Housing Authority, as a Maintenance Technician. Quintell was an excellent Barber and displayed this talent to many within the community. Later in life, he became a car salesman, as he loved everything about a vehicle, from the parts to detailing. Through the years, Quintell fostered genuine relationships with his family and friends. He truly adored his children. Quintell also had a funny sense of humor and always kept you laughing. He was just an all-around fun person to be around to be around. Besides music, Quintell enjoyed food, electronics, basketball, and his favorite drink, Mountain Dew! In addition to his father, Quintell was preceded in death by his sister, Gail Smith; grandparents, Qscar and Margaret Mckoy and Robert and Margarite Smith; uncles, Robert Mckoy, Roy Lee Sidberry, and Anthony Smith; and his aunt, Lenora Jean Mckoy Drummond, all of whom he loved dearly. Quintell is severely missed and his memories are cherished by: his children , Montreal Smith and Asia Smith; parents, Doris Ann and Tony Farrior; brothers, Charlie Smith, Jr. (Moby) of Charlotte, and Rodney Smith, of the home; one sister , Michelle McGuire of Raleigh; one special God-sister , Lisa Lennon of Georgia; one aunt , Idell Mckoy; uncles , Monroe Mckoy and Oscar Lee Mckoy, both of Philadelphia, PA and McKinley Sidberry of New York; nieces ; Taneisha, Rosalyn and Teresa Smith; nephews , CJ, Lil Charlie Smith and Isaiah McGuire; and a host of cousins, that were more like siblings; special friends , Daryl Sanders, Tony Hurd, Dimo, Maser G, Busta, Ronald Harrison (Twin), Reginald (Mann) and Lynn Pickett, and other relatives and friends.
