Brendella Hannible Gordon affectionately known as "Brenda" was born on March 17th, 1966 in Miami, Florida to the late Julia Mae Hannible and Willie Thames Jr. She entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 12th, 2024 at home with family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Kendrick Donyell Hannible; grandmother, Marion Hannible and grandfather, Willie Thames Sr. She attended DC Virgo School and later graduated from E.A. Laney High School in Wilmington North Carolina. In 1988, Brendella relocated to Newburgh, New York. During her lifetime Brendella was a manager at the Newburgh Walmart in the infants department. As a young lady Brendella accepted Christ into her life and became a faithful member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Coleman Briggs where she served on the Usher board and sang on the Gospel choir. In later years, Brendella then relocated back to Wilmington North Carolina where she made it her forever home. In 2018 Brendella joined Valour Ministries of Grace, Inc. where she became a missionary and ready to serve God's kingdom under the leadership of Apostle Powell. Brendella had a special talent for crafting. She loved making holiday reefs. The joy she received with the smile on a person's face was a blessing more than money can purchase. Brendella leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Samuel Gordon; daughter, Tamika Hannible of New Windsor, NY; son Kenneth Lewis, Jr. (Laquetta) of Hampstead, NC; granddaughter, Zariah Wrancher of New Windsor, NY; 2 fur grandbabies, Lucky Charms Lewis and Nyla Bean Hannible; sisters, Darlene Robinson and Belinda Robinson of Wilmington, NC, Ursula Deloatch (Pershield) of Raleigh, NC, Teyana Deschamps and Mary Deschamps (Marquis) of Wilmington, NC; brothers, Willie Thames, Jr. and Freddie Thames (Nicole) of Wilmington, NC; two special sisters and best friends, Tina Akins and Monique LoveJoy; special mother, Lillian Lewis; her church family and a host of uncles, aunts, godchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.
