Funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the Willie L. Shaw Jr. Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow in the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, Snowfield Community.  Visitation will be prior to the service on Saturday.

Bobsie was born September 25, 1955, in district Litchfield Trelawny, Jamaica.  He was the fourth child born to the late Vivien Hanson and Evelyn Anderson Beckford.  He received his early education at the Lime Tree primary school in the neighboring district.  After graduating with 6 standards, he became a farmer specializing in ground provision and vegetables.  He worked on his skill for several years.  During this time, he was considered a successful farmer.  To him, he still needed to explore more.  His quest for more led him to migrate to the United States, where he joined his brothers Cecil and Alva.  He lived in Connecticut for several years.  He later relocated to North Carolina, where he lived until he departed his life on July 13, 2022.  Bobsie leaves to mourn his passing, his dearly beloved friend, Sandra, his son Eric, his daughter Novelette, 9 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren, brothers, Alva, Cecil, and Curtis, 4 sisters; Jean, Maurine, Tuts, and Carol, aunts, and uncles, and a host of other relatives and friends. May his soul rest in peace, and the angel guide him to his maker.
