Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Christian Chapel AME Zion Church, Winnabow, NC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation is from 5-7:00 P.M. Thursday at Christian Chapel AME Zion Church. Bertha Mae J Wilson was born April 14, 1941, in Winnabow, NC to the late Fannie and James Jones.  She was called home on March 29, 2024.  Bertha has always been a hard-working woman. She worked 18 years at Yale Hospital, retired after 25 years from SBMS, and worked over 24 years at Brunswick Cove Living Center.  She was a devoted member at Christian Chapel AME Zion Church.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  Always helping and looking out for others. Precious memories will be cherished by her daughters; Terry (Michael Hill) Wilson, of the home and Angela Hinson, Albemarle NC; son: Doug Hinson, Albemarle NC; grandchildren: Rodney Wilson, TyQuan Wilson and Tyrika Wilson; great grandchildren: Zion Allen and Santana Wilson.  Special nephew, Reverend David Kelly.  Two very special friends; Lunetta Wortham and Wilma Crite.  A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by all her siblings, and granddaughter Tyshay Wilson.
