BJ was raised in the Wilmington Community and was educated in the New Hanover County Public School System.  He graduated from Wilmington Early College High School.  At the time of his passing, he was employed with Pacific Woodtech.  BJ was known for his vibrant spirit and infectious energy. With a smile that could brighten anyone's day and a striking handsomeness that matched his inner charm, he had a way of leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. His outgoing personality made him easy to connect with, and he never hesitated to bring joy and laughter to his family and friends. Despite his playful, silly side, BJ carried himself with a calm demeanor and a deep respect for others.
