Barbara Jean Miller, daughter of the late Verna and Edward Miller was born on February 22, 1952, in Elizabeth, New Jersey.  Our loving sister was called home to eternal rest on September 16, 2024. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her oldest brother, James Williams and her oldest sister, Lillian Louise Miller. Barbara attended elementary school and high school in Elizabeth, New Jersey and she continued her education at Kean College in Union, New Jersey.  Barbara was employed at Sealand in Newark, New Jersey and worked at Corolco Movie Studios as a seamstress and costume designer.  Later she worked as a caregiver. After relocating to Wilmington, North Carolina, she attended Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a kind and loving mother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her.  She will be greatly missed. She leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Jazzmare Armstrong; two sisters, Elaine and Verna; a loving niece, Bianca; nephews, Lance, Jeffrey, Eddie, Sean, Omega, Jacque, Jamie; a multitude of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunts,  other relatives and friends and Samuel Armstrong;
