Annie Vernice Murphy, born July 3, 1937, in Blakley Georgia, she was called home to be with the Lord on December 14, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of the late Robert Franklin and Willie Fay Sanders. She was proceeded in death by her devoted husband Deacon George Murphy; her son, Christopher Bryant; her siblings, Mae Nella Jones (William), Jinnie V. Kinsey (Job), Johnnie Ruth Green (Aaron), Lenora Franklin, Charlie Franklin, and Emanuel Franklin; and her stepchildren, Belinda Murphy and Georgette Murphy. Annie was a faithful, church-going woman who deeply loved the Lord. Each morning, she began her day by reading the Word of God, finding strength and guidance in her faith. She loved to sing and had a beautiful spirit that brought comfort and joy to all who knew her. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering faith were reflected in her work caring for others — she devoted many years as a CNA in Newark, NJ, and shared her nurturing heart as a beloved nanny in Wilmington, NC, touching the lives of countless families. Her love and care left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her daughter, Eboni Murphy; her grandchildren, Christina Bryant, Shala Murphy, Quita Murphy, Denzel Murphy, Dominique Whitaker, Shay Murphy, Nicole Murphy, Janiyah Murphy Munn. Turin McIntire, Rylee McIntire, and Ivy McIntire; and her great-grandchildren, Ramaj Parker, Omari Parker, Cameron Bryant, Auriana Parker, and Amir Wright. She also leaves to cherish her many memories: her stepchildren, Myron Murphy (wife Tina), George S. Murphy, Brendella Murphy, and Gary Murphy, along with a host of step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and devoted members of her church family. She held especially close to her heart her sisters-in u law, Mae Murphy, Beatrice Murphy, and daughter in law, Hing Shaw and many others. Annie's life was a true reflection of love, faith, and service, and her legacy will continue to live on through her family, her church, and all those whose lives she touched.
