Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the Pollock Cemetery. Visitation is from 5:30-8:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.  Mrs. Anna Pearl Greene Ragin, (Nan) was born on March 12, 1943, in Scotts Hill, NC to the late Henry Greene Sr. and Delilah Greene.  One daughter who preceded her in death (Trina) Paulin Ragin, along with two sisters, Pearline Greene, and Lucille Johnson, three brothers, Leroy Moore, Thomas Greene, and Henry Greene Jr. Anna (Nan) graduated from Williston Senior High School and went on to work for over 60 years.  The love Anna (Nan) had for children went beyond her children and grandchildren; for Anna (Nan) was called Mom, Momma Nan, and Grandma by many.  Anna (Nan) demonstrated well how to be a mother and love others as her own.  Anna (Nan) always made sure everyone around her ate a bellyful.  Anna (Nan) mastered crocheting, crocheting everything she could.  Anna (Nan) was a loving, caring, God fearing peacekeeper.  Anna (Nan) married Matthew Ragin, Jr. on February 27, 1967, together they had three daughters.  Anna (Nan) leaves to cherish: two daughters, Teresa (Trice) Ragin of Wilmington, NC and Katrilla (Tina) Ragin both of Mount Olive, NC; six grandchildren, Cameron (Elizabeth), Treanna, Bryan, Kadaisa, Breianna and Kadarius; six bonus grandchildren, Kenneth, Jessica (Brian), Charles, Quintella, Gage, and the late James Jr.  Anna (Nan) had several great-grandchildren.  One sister Cora Morgan of Supply, NC; two brothers, Irving Greene of Castle Hayne, NC and Harold Greene of Leland, NC.  Anna (Nan) had a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Her motherly love will never be forgotten and will forever be missed.
