A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 6307 Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington, NC 28412.

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow to announce the passing of Anna Silva Beaty on August 18, 2025. Silva was born on April 28, 1943, in Istanbul, Turkey. She moved to Germany in 1958 with her parents to find better employment. This is where she met her husband, Henry. Silva was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Beaty of 50 years. She is survived by her children, Jacqueline Lakey (husband, Shaw - who she adored); Annita Beaty; Belinda Scoggins; and three grandchildren - who she loved so dearly - Jessica, Anthony, and Cody Scoggins. Silva will be remembered for many things by her countless friends - many who started out as her alterations customers that became life-long friends. "So many customers get close to me", she would say, "It seems like I know them 100 years ago." Silva will be remembered for her beautiful smile, infectious laughter, passion for gardening, the fine art of exquisite Mid-eastern tailoring, singing, dancing, cooking, storytelling and zest for life. She touched countless lives with her kindness and generosity, always putting others before herself.  To list all of Silva's friends would be impossible, for she never met a stranger. But a very special 'Thank You' goes to her neighbors Rose Johnson and Sue Ramsey who have been loyal friends for many years. 'Thank you for the love and personal care you gave our mother over the years through thick and thin.' (Proverbs 17:17)  As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Silva's hope is to be resurrected and live in a beautiful paradise on Earth, where she can continue doing everything she loves FOREVER. (Psalm 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15) See you in Paradise Momma. Silva will forever reside in our hearts.
