Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 9, 2025, at St Stephen AME Church.  Burial will follow in Pine Forest Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service.  Family is receiving friends at 813 1/2 Campbell St.

Angela Denise Winn Thompson was born September 5, 1962, in Wilmington, North Carolina to Mrs. Fannie Dickey Winn Freeman and Mr. William H. Winn.  Angela departed this life on September 29, 2025. Angela was educated in the New Hanover County school system.  She was a loving mother.  Every birthday she fixed dinner for her children based on their likes and requests.  Angela, an excellent cook, loved to cook.  She prepared food like a chef and often volunteered to cook for others as well as for friends and family. Angela leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Paul Thompson; one daughter, Tiffany Williams; two sons, Jeffery Winn and Shaun Winn (Laneicia); two grandchildren, Mondavian Russ and Kai'on Alexander; a loving mother, Fannie Dickey Winn Freeman; four brothers, William Winn, Jr. (Janet), Reginal Winn, Eric Winn, and Ronald Winn; one sister, Sandra Winn; like a sister, Pamela Vines; brother-in-law, Billy Thompson (Rita); sister-in-law, Mamie Vaught (Eugene); daughter-in-law, Patricia Bennett; two aunts, Thelma McDuffie and Mable Police; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including very special friends, Beverly Scott, Betty Riley, Jacqueline Marcus, Bonnie Lewis, and Torri Mishoe.
