A memorial service will be 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at John H. Shaw's Son Funeral Home.

Alton Alphonso Davis, born on December 14, 1952, in Wilmington, North Carolina, to Doris Davis, and the late James Davis, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and adventure. Born Into a military family, Alton continued the tradition of service by enlisting in the military himself, which allowed hm to travel extensively abroad and experience the world. Despite his travels, his heart remained tied to his roots, eventually bringing his love for country life full circle—back to where his journey began. Alton is survived by his sisters, Wanda Adams and Sandra Davis, and his brothers, Harwyn Davis, Maurice Davis (Tennille), and Derek Davis. He also leaves behind his close friend, Robert Waddell, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and cherished friends. His warmth, loyalty, and enduring spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
