Alorda Palmore Randolph was born on July 15, 1954, in Brunswick County, North Carolina to Minister Mary L. Palmore and the late John L. Palmore, Sr.  She departed this earthly life on December 20, 2024.  Alorda accepted Christ at a young age and later joined St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member in good standing until her health declined.   She served as St. Mary's announcing secretary for many years, taking great pride in her position.  Her motto was, "Dear Lord, please let there be more of You and less of me."  Alorda attended Brunswick County Schools and later received her associate's degree from Brunswick Community College. Alorda was employed by CP&L for many years.  She later served as the dedicated Secretary for Bolivia Elementary School and remained there until her retirement.  She was loved dearly by Bolivia Bears students (who she called her 'darlings'), teachers, and staff. To know Alorda was to love her.  She was a loyal, caring, and sharing person who loved spending time with her family.  More than 30 years ago, Alorda began an annual family and friends' reunion during Thanksgiving that would become a tradition for decades.  Alorda was preceded in death by her father, John L. Palmore, Sr., brother, John L. Palmore, Jr., and sister, Brenda P. Perez.  Alorda leaves to cherish very fond memories: her mother, Minister Mary L. Palmore of Winnabow, NC; two sons, Rufus Randolph, Jr. and Edmund Randolph (Cheryl) both of Bolivia, NC; three granddaughters, Sarai Randolph and SaTara Randolph of Greensboro, NC, and Olivia Randolph of Bolivia, NC; two grandsons, Manuel Wyley, Jr. of Palm Bay, FL and Jamal Davidson of Leland, NC; four great-grandchildren; six siblings, Ronnie Jenkins (Velva) of Leland, NC, Mary Franks (Leon) of Winnabow, NC, Ida Hardy (Kenny) of Bolivia, NC, Okey Palmore (Lily), Violet Pearson, and Viola Taylor (Jasper), all of Winnabow, NC; loving Farmer's Union family of Clarkton, NC; loving Tobe's Road family of Bolivia, NC; Honorary Uncle and Aunt, Rev. Robert & Hattie Richardson; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and special friends, including: Minister Alcindor Hankins and the Hankins family; Bolivia Elementary School coworkers:  Marva Moss, Arlinda Robinson, Carolyn Smith, and Shelley Warnett; CP&L coworkers: Wanda Davis, Patricia Galloway, Judy Gordon, & Cynthia Stevenson; and loving roommate from Universal Healthcare, Martha Burnette.
