Alicia Michelle Bethea, aka Lisa left this world suddenly on May 31, 2022. Lisa was born on November 28, 1976, to the late Linda Faye Bethea and Robert McLaurin. She was called home on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Lisa graduated from New Hanover High School and lived her life trying to help others anyway possible. She was a daddy's girl and was adored by daddy (Robert McLaurin and her stepdad Berry). Her love for helping others started with her raising her three siblings after her mother passed and the love she shared with her husband and beautiful daughter Isla. She would not hesitate to help other people no matter if it was cooking them a plate of food, having a friendly conversation, or opening up her home to them. She was blessed on many levels and was known by everybody everywhere she went. She was always going to tell you the truth no matter how it made you feel and you could never ask for a better friend, wife, sister or family member. Left to cherish her loving memory is: her Wilmington family, husband Sherard "Shea" Johnson: her children, Isla Johnson and Jamaal Johnson; her sisters, Tameka Lachelle Bethea and Quandrea Bethea; her brother, Juan Bethea (Domonique); her step-father, Barry Simpson; her nephew, Presston Bethea; her great-nephew, Kamari Bethea; her nieces, Disauna Bethea, Makiyah Bethea, Nadia Herd, Malayah Baldwin and Briyona; a host of aunts (she adored Gloria); uncles (she adored Goose); family and friends, including five special friends, Shawne Fields, Kechia Jones, Shawanna, Felicia and Selesia Bowden; her Atlanta family: sister, Angela Moss; brother-in-law, Boae Moss; nieces, Brianna and Joya; her Philadelphia family: her brother, Dr. Lamont McLaurin; sisters, Barbara McLaurin, Dr. Marilynn Miles, Pamela McLaurin, Sarah McLaurin and a host of nieces and nephews.
As you can see Lisa had a village and she was loved.
