Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 4, 2024, at Evergreen AME Zion Church, Delco, NC.  Burial will follow in the Freeman Cemetery, Bolton, NC.  Visitation will be 5:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home.  Mrs. Alice C Noel was born on July 17, 1947, to the late Mack and Lizzie Bowen of Acme, North Carolina.  While surrounded by her family, she departed this life on February 27, 2024.  Alice was educated in the Columbus County School System.  She also continued her education and received her Nursing Assistant I Certificate.  She was blessed to have five children: Gary Freeman, Darryl Freeman, Fredrick Freeman, Vondrean Freeman and Dalinda Freeman.  Alice was a member of Evergreen AME Zion Church where she served faithfully as a member on the usher board, until her health began to fail, in spite of her health failing, she kept her great love for the Lord.  Alice loved to go out to eat dinner with Connie, loved to shop for "Fine Household Essentials", and also loved walking the mall.  Alice held various positions in order to provide for her family.  Along with Alice's parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Adrian Noel.  Alice loved her children and grandchildren.  She leaves to cherish her memory; her sons: Gary Freeman, Darryl Freeman, and Fredrick Freeman all of Wilmington, NC; her daughters; Vondrean Freeman of Piscataway, New Jersey and Delinda Freeman of Wilmington, NC; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters; Annie Scott of Wilmington, NC and Carrie Murphy (Archie) of Delco, NC; three brothers: Otto Bowen of Newark, NJ, Raymond Bowen and Ben Bowen of Delco, NC; a special friend Connie Webb, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
