In the early morning hour of Monday, December 29, 2025, God sent his Loving Angel to carry away the soul of our beloved son, father, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, Alan Wayne Bell. Alan Wayne Bell was born on October 17, 1972, in Whiteville, NC to Annie M. Freeman Brown and the late Ethel Bell. He was educated in the Columbus County School System. While attending Acme Delco High School, Alan was a standout football player. Upon graduation in 1992, he began contract work at GE and later at Coating & Adhesive. Alan went on to attend Cape Fear Community College and graduated with a machinist degree and later his CDL. He began driving trucks long distance and later switched to a local route, which he maintained until his death. Alan took an interest in gardening, cooking, grilling, and raising dogs- which traveled with him on his routes. He loved being fashionable and hanging out with childhood friends as well as attending family gatherings where he took on the role of cook. He was a people person, always willing to help anyone in need. He was friendly and developed a lot of relationships. Alan joined Evergreen AME Zion Church with his family and attended various churches while he continued to strengthen his Christian faith. Alan was a devoted father who loved his family deeply and took great pride in watching his children grow and become successful. He is survived by his three children, Alanica Bell of Baltimore, MD, Isaiah Wayne Bell (David) of Durham, NC, and Mariah Ja'Niece Bell of the home.
