Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon on Friday, March 10, 2023, at Faith Temple COGIC. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Cemetery. Visitation is from 5:30 - 8:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Evangelist Agnes Eason departed this life on Sunday, March 5, 2023. Agnes was born on October 18, 1952, in Wilmington, North Carolina, to the late Alford and Eline Eason. She was the sixth of seven children. In this life she birthed two children but was blessed to have a host of others who called her mother. In addition to her parents, Agnes' daughter, Michelle Eason, and sisters; Ella Mae Spencer, Norman Jean Eason, Elizabeth Boyd, and Joe Ann Walters preceded her in death. Sister Agnes lived in Wilmington, NC the last years of her life, before moving back to Wilmington, she lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for several years. Agnes completed her education within the New Hanover County school system and Nursing at Cape Fear Community College. Agnes completed divinity school at Main Bible Institute in Philadelphia, PA. Agnes accepted Christ as her personal savior and was a Missionary and servant at Holy Temple Church in Philadelphia, PA, and Faith Temple Church of God in Christ. She enjoyed crocheting blankets for the less fortunate, newborn babies, making crotchet dolls and braiding hair. As her health declined, she enjoyed spending time with her family, watching her favorite daytime television shows, completing crossword, word search and puzzles on her iPad. Surviving to cherish fond memories her son, Michael Eason (Patricia) of Philadelphia, PA; five grandchildren; Ashley Eason-Porter of Philadelphia, PA, Dominique Carlton of Wilmington, NC, April Lovett (Khyrie) of Philadelphia, PA, Donesha (Keke) Carlton and Darien (Man Man) Riddick of Wilmington, NC. She leaves behind three great grandchildren: Tyrique Lovett, Amora Lovett, and Trenton Hughes. Two sisters; Betty Faulkner of Wilmington, NC, and Sherrill Cook (Ronald) of Philadelphia, PA. Agnes leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. A special great nephew, Darren Wilson, and three bonus grandchildren; William Bradley, Kyana Foat, and Leon Hughes.
