Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Evergreen AME Zion Church, Delco, NC.  Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery.  Viewing will be following the service on Thursday morning.  Mrs. Addell Bernice Everett Sutton was born in Columbus County on September 27, 1926, to the late John Wesley Everett and Maggie Freeman Everett.  Bernice peacefully answered the Master's call from labor to reward on June 20, 2024.  Bernice joined Evergreen AME Zion Church at an early age.  She attended regularly until her health declined.  She loved gardening and was very passionate about being around family.  Bernice was educated in the Columbus County School System.  She was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. McClammy Sutton on April 22, 1962.  Bernice was preceded in death by three sisters:  Stella Mae Everett, Willie Delores Patrick, Juanita Everett Graham; five brothers, Thomas Everett, James Everett, Ernest Everett, Irving Palmore Everett, and Leroy Everett. She leaves to cherish: one daughter Elizabeth (Speedy) Lane (Jerome), one grandson Kyron Sutton (Angie); three great granddaughters, Kyra, Aubrey, and Meya Sutton; four step-grandchildren, Tammy Brooks, Danielle Benson, Jerome L Lane, Priscilla Lane; one bonus granddaughter Tammy Webb; one brother, Roscoe Everett;  sister-in-law Dorothy Everett; special nieces, Helene Patrick & Phyllis Everett; special nephews, Greg Waddell & Toney Waddell; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and special friends.
