Adam Clayton Warde was born on August 21, 1960, in Wilmington, North Carolina, to the late Armond Hunter Warde, Sr., and Rosetta McKoy Warde on October 23, 2024.   Adam entered into eternal rest at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Wilmington, NC, surrounded by his loved ones.  A devoted member of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, Adam served his church faithfully as a deacon, usher, and church sexton.  His love for the Lord and his church family was evident in all that he did. Adam received his education in the New Hanover County School system.  Graduating from John T. Hoggard High School in 1979.  He furthered his studies at Cape Fear Community College, where he earned a degree in construction carpentry.  For many years, Adma worked at the Wilmington Star-News before retiring, due to health concerns, yet he continued t serve as the church sexton, a role he cherished deeply. On January 17, 1984, he married the love of his life, Laura Weatherly, under the guidance of Superintendent Cornelius Anderson of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ.  Their union was blessed with a loving family and many shared memories.  Adam had a passion for woodworking and enjoyed crafting authentic furniture.  He could make anything out of wood, and his creations were cherished by his family and friends.  Brother Adam C. Warde was raised to the degree of Master Mason in Progressive Lodge #830 F&AM (PHA) on November 13, 1992.  Known for his unwavering dedication, he faithfully served the lodge in numerous capacities, including as Junior Warden, and took on several other officer roles.  Brother Warde was deeply committed to the craft, regularly attending the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of North Carolina's communications and actively participating in Grand Lodge fundraising efforts.  Following the merger of Progressive Lodge #830 with Ciblem Lodge #2 F&AM (PHA), Brother Warde's health began to decline, making it difficult for him to attend regular lodge meetings. His absence is profoundly felt among the Officers and members of Ciblem Lodge, who hold fond memories of his service, dedication, and brotherhood.  Though he is no longer with us, Brother Adam C. Warde will be dearly missed as he now rests in Gods loving hands.  Adam was preceded in death by his sister, Arma Jean Ward McClammy: his brother, Armond Hunter Ward Jr; his nephew, Gilbert Lee McClammy Jr.; his mother-in-law, Irene Andrews; and his beloved cousin Lavern McIntyre Boles.  Adam's memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife, Laura Weatherly Warde; his daughter, Hattie Ann McKay (Marshal) of Leland NC: his sons Clayton M. Warde of Raleigh, NC, Armond Hunter Weatherly Ward (Leanne) of Wilmington, NC, and Corderro M. Warde of Wilmington, NC; eight grandchildren: Kennedy, Autumn, Jayton, Alanna, Amari, Michael, Jaylen, and Kashonn; and his niece, Destiny Mullins (affectionately known as "Sister Boo"), who was like a daughter to him.  He is also survived by his brothers, Bernard Ward Robinson (Patricia) of Wilmington, NC, and David E. Ward of Wilmington, NC, his sisters, Loretta Ward Moore (late Elmo) of Clarksville, TN, Daisy Ward Walker of Castle Hayne, NC, and Suzette Ward Price (Cary) of Riegelwood, NC, his special sister-in-law Wanda Waddell and his special godson, Dawon Henry, and god-daughters Aliyah and Myiesha Gore; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
